Please do not ask me for this image and I am not going to SHARE this.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I am currenlty labbing from the Narbik Workbook. \u00a0Please visit\u00a0<span class=\"skimlinks-unlinked\">http:\/\/www.micronicstraining.com<\/span>\/ for their Workbook material.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/10.jpeg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I am going to show you how you can make the above topology virtually. The CCIE R n S version 5 is Vitual and hence I thought of implementing the same.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the above diagram, we see that we would need 4 x Virtual-Switches and 13 cables to interconnect them.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s get Started<\/p>\n<p>First we will create cable connection so that we can connect between the switches.<\/p>\n<p>In order to do that, select ESXi host and then go to Configuration tab and then click Add Networking as shown below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/1.jpeg?w=300\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"105\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/2.jpg?w=800\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"278\" height=\"125\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you click Add Networking, follow the below procedure as shown below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/3.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Select Virtual Machine and click NEXT<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/4.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Make sure you un-select the VMNIC-0 as we just need a cable type connection so that we can connect two switches.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/5.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you un-select, hit Next.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/6.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"223\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Give a meaning Full Name to the Network Label and Select Vlan-ID (4095) and hit Next.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/7.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"222\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now Click FINISH.<\/p>\n<p>If you look under the configuration tab, you will see that the network connection is created and there is no adapters connected to it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/9.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"134\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Using the above procedure, I have created 13 such connections.<\/p>\n<p>I have connected 4 switches as per the below diagram.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/11.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If we examine the Network adapter settings for Sw-1, you should set it like below.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/12.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SW-2 Network Adapter settings :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/13.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SW-3 Network Adapter settings :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/14.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"266\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SW-4 Network Adapter settings :<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"featured-image\" src=\"https:\/\/maftabmemon.files.wordpress.com\/2014\/11\/15.jpg?w=900\" alt=\"Featured image\" width=\"300\" height=\"268\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Please note that the network adapters on these switches starts from G0\/0 onwards.<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 1 indicates its G0\/0,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 2 indicates its G0\/1,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 3 indicates its G0\/2,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 4 indicates its G0\/3,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 5 indicates its G1\/0,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 6\u00a0indicates its G1\/1,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 7\u00a0indicates its G1\/2,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 8\u00a0indicates its G1\/3,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 9\u00a0indicates its G2\/0,<\/p>\n<p>Network Adapter 10 indicates its G2\/1.<\/p>\n<p>As per my Understanding Cisco Vios images supports upto 10 Network Adapters.
